At BCCWITT our primary purpose is to support tradeswomen and gender-diverse workers in the trades, from the time they consider entering a trade through to the last day of their careers.
We do a lot of that work through the programs we’re able to offer, with thanks to the funders who make this all possible.
Our feature programs that help us do our work are:
Trades Training and Employment (often called our “Careers program”): through this program we help women access the training, career supports or funding they need to get into their trade of choice.
ConnectHER allows us to support tradeswomen and gender-diverse workers in the trades as they advance through their training and careers…creating a network and offering training supports for those working from the start of their apprenticeship through to achieving their journeyperson’s accreditation.
Programs like Show Up for Safer Workplaces, make workplaces safer and more welcoming for everyone…as one part of how we ensure tradeswomen and gender-diverse workers in the trades can have lasting, fulfilling careers in a healthier, safer and more productive sector.
Legacy programs (those currently not funded or being offered by BCCWITT) like Leaders in Trades, Be More than a Bystander and our bursary and grant opportunities continue to demonstrate the lasting positive impact of the work BCCWITT has done since being founded in 2018.
